Conformation
Junior SHowmanship
Junior Showmanship (typically 9 – 18 years old)
Junior Showmanship (Junior Handling) is a class where young people are taught how to show a dog in Conformation. They will learn basic handling skills and how to best present different breeds. While Juniors are judged by an official AKC Judge, it is the quality of the Junior handler’s presentation that is judged. Participating in Junior Showmanship will teach your child many important life lessons — how to be a good sport, how to put one’s mind to something and master it; and how training and hard work can lead to excellence.
Winners Class
The WINNERS Conformation class will prepare you and your dog for your Conformation Dog Show experiences. You will learn basic handling skills and how to best present different breeds. You will be instructed on how to show your dog in a Conformation Dog Show and how to best present your dog to exhibit their adherence to your dog’s breed standard.
